About our camp
Across the weekend, campers take part in acting, singing and dance workshops, creative rehearsals, team games, outdoor activities and our exciting Weekender Games, where they can win tokens for teamwork, kindness, bravery, creativity and confidence.
Campers help put together a final show from start to finish, learning scenes, songs and choreography while making new friends and building confidence along the way.
The weekend is also packed with unforgettable camp moments, including campfire fun, our much-loved silent disco, challenges, laughter, two professional headshots and plenty of opportunities for every child to shine.
The camp ends with a live final showcase for family and friends, giving every camper their own Centre Stage moment.
With DBS-checked staff, 24-hour supervision, dorm accommodation, meals included and a caring team, Centre Stage is a safe, exciting and unforgettable experience for young performers.
My daughter had an amazing weekend at Centre Stage Theatre Camp last weekend , and is already talking about returning next year!
She had so much fun, met new friends, loved the workshops, zip wire, camp fire, everything! AND she faced her nerves and sang her first solo in-front of an audience and absolutely smashed it! She was very nervous, but with the support and gentle encouragement from staff and her lovely friends (and a phone call to us!) she decided to go for it! We were SO proud, as was she! Definitely a weekend she will never forget!
If you are thinking of booking this for your son/daughter I would say 100% go for it! It doesn’t matter how good at drama you are, everyone is included and I really wish something like this had been around when I was younger! Priceless experience!

Three of my children - aged 8, 10 and 13 - went to this year’s camp (May 2025) and they all had an absolute ball! The older two have been before (in fact it was the teenager’s third year coming) and absolutely loved the experience and although, my youngest child was initially nervous, she was so well looked after and really thrived there.
My girls love everything about it - the workshops, the opportunities to perform, the camp fire, the zip wire… they pack so much into a few days.

Our new venue
Founded in 1779 – A beautiful Ackworth boarding school in Ackworth, Pontefract, originally established by Dr John Fothergill and fellow Quakers as a place of learning and care. Today, Ackworth School offers fantastic facilities including a well-equipped theatre, excellent boarding accommodation, quality catering, and versatile spaces ideal for theatre workshops, activities, and even campfires – all set within its historic grounds.

Teen Leader
Meet our 2026 Teen Leaders
We’re excited to launch the Teen Leaders Volunteer Program at Centre Stage Theatre Camp – giving 16–19-year-olds the chance to guide and inspire the next generation of theatre enthusiasts.
Whether you’re a past performer or new to leadership, this role is a brilliant way to develop skills, gain hands-on theatre experience, and stay part of our vibrant camp community. Teen Leaders volunteer for 2 of the 3 camp days (15 hours total) while still enjoying the full camp experience.
You’ll:
- Build leadership and mentoring skills
Gain experience in theatre production and management
- Receive a 40% discount on camp (£300 instead of £459)
